The Director, Abuja Environmental Protection Board (AEPB), Mr. Isah Shuaibu was at the weekend, conferred with the Young Minds Role Model Award.
The honour, which was bestowed on him by the New Ways Innovations Association, was in recognition of his contribution to the development of the FCT according to the Spokesman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the association, Akakabola Derick.
"We formed a panel that scrutinized the antecedents of all the people nominated and the director emerged as the winner of the youth role model category. He has contributed immensely to the advancement of the FCT," he said.
Responding, the AEPB director, attributed the honour to "humble commitment to duty" saying that service to humanity has a way of attracting recognition.
"I have worked in four departments under the FCT, Development Control Department, Parks and Recreation, Archives and the most recent, AEPB. That puts me in a unique position to contribute effectively in the development of the FCT," he said.
Shuaibu remarked that the award would spur him to offer greater services towards the development of the territory, as he encouraged youths to dedicate themselves totally to hard work and service to humanity.
This he noted "is the only way to leave an indelible foot print in the sand of time".
