The Federal High Court, Kaduna, has adjourned to March 1, the case between Governor Patrick Ibrahim Yakowa of the Kaduna state and Alhaji Sulaiman Othman Hunkuyi over the last Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) primary election in the state.
Justice Lawal Shuaibu adjourned the case to give counsels to the plaintiff and defendant time to file their written briefs.
Governor Yakowa’s counsel, had demanded for more time to study the claims of the litigant.
It would be recalled that Hunkuyi had gone to court to challenge the emergence of Governor Yakowa as the PDP flag-bearer, alleging that the governor had violated both the Electoral Act and the party’s Constitution’s by organising fund raising before the primary election.
