Secretary to the Bauchi state government, Barrister Ahmed Ibrahim Dandija has commended the organisers of the North-East Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential rally hosted in Bauchi on Wednesday. He described them as “committed democrats and patriots.”
Dandija made the commendation yesterday, in a chat with newsmen in Bauchi, noting that, the rally was adjudged to be the best in organisation and attendance since the commencement of the nationwide campaign by the PDP presidential candidate, President Goodluck Jonathan.
According to him, apart from the availability of functional and most modern facilities at the venue, the security network was excellent and effective in controlling the influx of party supporters and other invited guests to the event.
“It was a very successful occasion which indicates the supremacy of the PDP over the other parties. The occasion was well organized and conducted without any hitch,” he said.
The PDP, as a united family, he said, has demonstrated through the rally its total commitment to the unity of Nigeria and its preparedness to serve Nigeria better if elected into office in 2011.
